Returns & Exchanges
All items at golghar are checked for quality, its make, colours and sizes. Since we own and manufacture whatever we sell (that is we do not outsource/trade the products we sell online), we have capability to ensure that all products are of the best quality.
We have a 2-day return/exchange policy, which means you have 2 days after receiving your item to request a return.
i. Size Issue
All products which have size variants come with a size chart, we recommend that you see them before making your purchase. We can perform an exchange of the product on grounds of Size issues. The cost of shipping to and fro would have to borne by the customer (chargeable service) after which the process can be initiated.
Returns will only processed if your case qualifies for the conditions explained below.
i. Damages and/or Defects
Every product shipped from our warehouse undergoes strict quality checks. In spite of that we request you to inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective and/or damaged, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please contact us within 48 hours of the delivery of the product. Any requests made after this time frame will not be entertained.
ii. Wrong Product Delivery
In an unlikely scenario wherein a wrong item is delivered to you (an item that you did not order), please contact us immediately upon receiving the product. We will explore the options that you would like to take and process returns/refunds on a case by case basis.
The items you wish to return/exchange must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items such as but not limited to Saree Fall and Picot products, Underskirts) or items made to fit of the end user. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately we cannot process Returns & Exchanges under any other circumstances. Customers are requested to verify and review order(s) including colours, sizes, quantities, etc. of garments before placing the order. We do not accept returns on sale items, gift cards and/or discounted items.
Given the nature of our products, we reserve the sole discretion to provide the resolution to any situation as we deem fit. Each return or exchange request is handled on a case by case basis and we request you to get in touch with our Customer Care for prompt resolution at email@example.com
To request for a return, please share your order number, date of transaction, delivery address and image of the wrongfully delivered or defective item with our customer care at firstname.lastname@example.org
If your return request is approved, we will perform a re-fulfillment of your order with the same or similar product after review of the Product Damage/ Wrong Delivery within a specific time frame. The product sent to you would have to be shipped to us after which we will dispatch the new/exchange product.
In certain circumstances, you would have to ship your product back to us at our warehouse. Please ship all your returns to:

Shipping the product back to us is your responsibility and we won't be able to help you if we do not receive the returned goods. Upon thorough inspection, a new item or a refund would be initiated. Goods that are found to be used and/or not in appropriate condition would be sent back to the customer.
Processing of refund is purely based on the case we are dealing with. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method or a credit note would be issued that can be redeemed at the website for 5 years. Shipping and CoD charges are non refundable under any circumstance.
Please remember it can take some time for your bank or your credit card institution to process and post the refund too.
For orders that have been processed by Cash on Delivery Payment method, we would require your bank account details to transfer the amount back to you.
Colour and Item Description Disclaimer
All photographs on this website are clicked in the outdoor environment and/or studio like lighting conditions. Please expect subtle color difference between the actual product and the images produced here due to variations in camera settings and digital screen rendition. However rest assured, you will get the same product that is shown here.
The details mentioned in the product specifications (e.g. color, handwork details, size, etc.) are only approximate values.
While we make all possible efforts to accurately reproduce colors, there may be minor variations in the color of the actual product because of the nature of fabric dyes, weather/climate at the time of dying, chromatic aberration in the lens of the photographing machine and differences in rendition on digital screens.
A customer must place an order keeping in mind that these minor variations may exist between the color as seen on a digital screen and the actual color of the product.
It is impossible for us to replicate the same colors on a garment as seen on your screen, by the virtue of digital photography. A subtle variation in the shade selected by you is considered as a normal practice as these garments have a tendency to reflect different shades of a color under different light and weather, type of camera used for photography or type and settings of the digital screen.
We wish to place it on record that every customer who orders any garment from Golghar is aware of this genuine problem.
While ordering fabric/garments over the internet, we suggest that customers should be extra careful of the following aspects:
1. It has been that Red, Maroon and Orange colors have a higher tendency to reflect a different shade than other colors. Even if you yourself try to photograph/scan red garment from your own device, in most cases it will be rendered as maroon or orange on the digital screen and vice versa. In spite of the fact that imaging technology has advanced, there is no foolproof solution to this problem at the moment.
2. Many times green and blue shades overlap. Same is the case with off white, white and cream colors.
3. It has commonly been seen that Sea Green color sometimes looks Aqua blue and vice-versa
4. Some fabrics like Raw silk, Khadi silk, Cotton silk, South cotton, Mercerised cotton have a textured effect where we can see the weaving & threads are visible in different directions which is an inherent characteristic or feature of that fabric and proof of its authenticity. These are not defects. This raw finish is the beauty of these fabrics.
5. Handcrafted, hand dyed, hand printed, hand painted, hand embroidered, handloom, hand weaved products will always have minor differences when we compare them as they are not made by machines. Each piece is unique. Artisans try their best to make each piece better than the previous one. So these products will always have minor variation. Variations like these make each art piece valuable. The raw finish of the handicrafts cannot be compared with machine finished products as this raw finish is the beauty of the handicrafts items.
Special Note about Tassels and Beads
Golghar believes that customers who are ordering items with sequence, beaded embroidery and/or tassels are aware of the fact that these embellishments have a tendency to come off. Even with the best of handling and care, this cannot be avoided altogether. Many times during strict physical checking at the customs or during transit, more than usual embellishments come off. Many times it may happen that when you open the package you may find some pieces falling down. Or when you wear the garment you may notice that in few hours you have lost some of them. Do not panic because if you look closely at any such dresses/sarees worn by others, you will most certainly find some pieces missing or almost at a state of falling down.
